Central Arkansas lost a close five-set match to Lipscomb at Allen Arena in Nashville on Saturday, with set scores of 14–25, 25–23, 25–15, 23–25, and 6–15. Despite the defeat, senior Laci Bohannan reached a personal milestone by recording her 1,000th career kill during the contest.
Bohannan led Central Arkansas with 17 kills while hitting .222. She also contributed 10 digs and four blocks to earn a double-double. Gabby Tuiaana added 12 kills and Ella Chaney had 11. Setter Caylan Koons provided stability for the team with 33 assists and five kills. Alexis McDaniel led the defense with a team-high of 22 digs.
After losing the first set, Central Arkansas responded by winning the next two sets through improved offense and consistent serving. In the fourth set, they stayed competitive but Lipscomb secured the win late in the frame to force a fifth set. Lipscomb then used a .684 hitting percentage in the final set to clinch the match.
With this result, Central Arkansas has an overall record of 13–11 and is now 10–4 in ASUN Conference play. Lipscomb improves its league record to 9–5.
The achievement marks an important moment in Bohannan’s career as Central Arkansas prepares for its remaining regular season matches ahead of the ASUN Championship.
