The University of Central Arkansas Bears are preparing for their final road game of the regular season, facing the Austin Peay Governors in an ASUN Conference match-up on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The Bears currently hold an 18-11 overall record and are 13-2 in conference play, while the Governors lead the ASUN standings with a 21-6 overall record and a 15-1 mark in conference games.

Since 2023, the two teams have met six times, with Austin Peay winning five of those encounters. Last season, the Governors secured victories in both meetings—winning by two points in Conway and by 23 points in Clarksville. This year, they will face each other only once during the regular season.

A win for Central Arkansas would keep their hopes alive for a share of the ASUN championship if they also defeat Queens on Saturday and Austin Peay loses its next game at Bellarmine. If Austin Peay wins one more game this week, they will secure the ASUN regular season title outright.

Central Arkansas recently lost an overtime game at FGCU, marking their third conference loss—all three coming on the road and after regulation time. The defeat ended a program-record 11-game winning streak. In that contest, Ty Robinson recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Camren Hunter scored 24 points and grabbed six rebounds. Hunter’s performance over two games last week earned him ASUN Player of the Week honors. So far this season in conference play, Central Arkansas is averaging 83 points per game while shooting 47% from the field, including 37% from three-point range and converting free throws at a rate of 74%.

Austin Peay won both of its games last week by narrow margins—an average difference of three points—in what were among their closest contests this season against UNF and Jacksonville. Both games saw shooting percentages below their usual standards. The Governors are aiming to finish undefeated at home (currently 12-0) as they celebrate senior night. Parker Collin leads Austin Peay with averages of 19.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per conference game. As a team in league play, they are scoring an average of 82.5 points per game while shooting nearly 48% from the field, hitting threes at a rate of about 37%, and making free throws at a rate of roughly 76%.

The match will take place at F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee, with live coverage available via ESPN+, The Bear 91.3 FM, Jack 92.7 FM or through online live stats.
