Central Arkansas secured a decisive 102-47 victory over Kansas Christian on Wednesday night at the Farris Center. The game, part of “Education Day,” drew more than 2,000 middle and elementary school students, creating an energetic environment.
The Bears took control early, with Camren Hunter scoring the first points just seconds into the game. Central Arkansas capitalized on turnovers throughout the contest, scoring 27 points off 25 Kansas Christian miscues and dominating inside with 56 points in the paint.
By halftime, Central Arkansas led 48-25 after a strong finish to the half by Malchiah Marable, who recorded a career-high 16 points and five offensive rebounds. The Bears continued their dominance in the second half, outscoring Kansas Christian 54-22. Luke Moore contributed with key plays early in the half, while Ty Robinson added a three-pointer to extend the lead. Robinson has now scored at least 12 points in four consecutive games.
J.C. Shulman hit a late three-pointer to push Central Arkansas past the century mark. Kansas Christian struggled with turnovers throughout, giving up nine more in the second half.
Camren Hunter led all scorers with 19 points and added three steals. Tyler Lee collected 11 rebounds along with six points. Harrison Beauchamp contributed 11 points, making three of eight from beyond the arc. Marable finished with his career-best performance on both ends of the floor, while Robinson added 12 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
Central Arkansas will next face Southern Methodist at Moody Coliseum in Dallas on Sunday, December 21 at 1 p.m.
