Central Arkansas achieved an 81-60 win over Eastern Illinois at the Farris Center on Tuesday, bringing their season record to 3-4. This victory marks the first time since 2019 that Central Arkansas has secured consecutive home wins against Division I opponents.

The Bears established an early lead in the first half, driven by Camren Hunter’s scoring efforts. Hunter hit a three-pointer less than three minutes into the game and followed up with a layup. He has now scored at least 19 points in two straight games. Ty Robinson also contributed significantly, making key free throws and a fast-break layup; he too is on a streak of scoring at least 18 points in back-to-back games. By halftime, Central Arkansas led 43-26 after capitalizing on turnovers by Eastern Illinois.

Eastern Illinois tried to narrow the deficit early in the second half with a three-pointer from Preston Turner but could not keep pace. Robinson responded for Central Arkansas with another three-pointer and a tip-in basket, pushing their lead to 50-31 before the halfway mark of the period. Zion Fruster led Eastern Illinois with 14 points during this stretch, but it was not enough to shift momentum.

Cole McCormick contributed late in the game for Central Arkansas with both a layup and a successful free throw as part of maintaining their advantage down the stretch.

Camren Hunter finished with 19 points on efficient shooting (7-for-10 field goals and four out of six from beyond the arc). Ty Robinson added 18 points—making five out of seven free throws—and grabbed seven rebounds. Javion Guy-King chipped in ten points without missing a shot and recorded two steals, while Malchiah Marable provided defensive presence with nine rebounds and two blocks along with five points. Luke Moore reached a career-high eight assists, added eight points, and had three steals.

Central Arkansas forced numerous turnovers throughout the contest, converting them into 26 points.

Looking ahead, Central Arkansas will play East Tennessee State on Saturday, November 29th at Johnson City, Tennessee.
