The Central Arkansas Sugar Bears secured a spot in the ASUN Conference semifinals after defeating Lipscomb 3–0 (25–21, 25–23, 25–21) in the quarterfinals held at Alico Arena in Fort Myers, Florida. The match took place on Thursday and sets up a semifinal contest against North Florida scheduled for November 21 at 6 p.m. CST.
Laci Bohannan led Central Arkansas with 12 kills and recorded a team-high of 14.5 points. Gabby Tuiaana contributed eight kills with a .375 hitting percentage, while Ella Chaney added six kills and hit .417. Greyson Button was key on defense with six blocks as part of the team’s total of 14 blocks.
Setter Caylan Koons managed the offense by providing 19 assists and two aces. Libero Alexis McDaniel anchored the defense with 15 digs. Central Arkansas limited Lipscomb to a .259 hitting percentage while achieving a .224 mark themselves.
The win improves Central Arkansas’ season record to 17–11 and advances them to face North Florida for an opportunity to play in the ASUN Championship match.
