The Central Arkansas track and field teams will compete in the Washburn Open and Multi meet this Friday and Saturday in Topeka, Kansas. The event starts at 11 a.m. on Friday with the men’s heptathlon 60m dash, while Saturday’s schedule begins at 10 a.m. with the 60m hurdles for the men’s heptathlon.
Central Arkansas returns to competition after their season-opening meet two weeks ago, where several athletes received conference recognition. Jaden Schneeberger was named ASUN Men’s Field Performer of the Week, and Jane Musengwa was honored as ASUN Women’s Freshman of the Week. Jack Dingman broke a school record in the 3000m event, finishing with a time of 8:17.18. In total, 26 Bears achieved personal bests during that meet.
The Washburn Open and Multi is expected to host more than 1,800 student-athletes with over 3,000 entries across its events.
Fans have options to follow the two-day competition through live results or by watching a live stream.
