The Central Arkansas track and field teams will compete in the Arkansas Spring Invitational in Fayetteville on Saturday, April 10. Field events are scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m., with running events starting at 1 p.m.

The meet follows a successful weekend for the Bears, who participated in the Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational. During those meets, Central Arkansas athletes earned 12 top-five finishes and set five new outdoor school records.

Jaden Schneeberger was named Field Performer of the Week after placing second in the hammer throw with a new school record of 64.74 meters (212-05). This mark ranks #30 nationally this season and is currently leading in the ASUN conference. Schneeberger also finished fifth in shot put with a throw of 17.19 meters (56-05.75).

Clifton McBride Jr. received Track Performer of the Week honors for his performances at the Bobcat Invitational, finishing sixth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.58 seconds—the third best time in conference—and placing fifteenth in the 200-meter event with a time of 21.13 seconds, which is among the top-100 times nationally and leads ASUN.

On the women’s team, Zoe Williams broke a school record by running a time of 13.58 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles at Texas Relays—a mark that leads ASUN and stands as #57 nationally this season. Bailee Villavaso also set a new Central Arkansas record by clearing four meters (13-01.5) in pole vault, surpassing her previous record by three-and-a-half inches to finish fifth.
