The Central Arkansas women’s basketball team will travel to Ruston, Louisiana, to face Louisiana Tech on Wednesday as part of a four-game road stretch to conclude non-conference play. The game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Central Arkansas, currently holding a 7-3 record, recently secured an 82-75 victory over Grambling State. Jenna Cook led the Sugar Bears with 16 points in her first career start, contributing three three-pointers along with two rebounds and two steals. Cheyanne Kemp added 15 points, while Bree Stephens and Shae Littleford each scored 13.

The win against Grambling State was significant for Central Arkansas. The team has not played many close games this season, and previous tight contests had not ended in their favor. Saturday’s performance provided an example of the execution needed on both offense and defense to secure a close win. With this result, Central Arkansas has won six of its last seven games and has only one loss outside of SEC competition.

Central Arkansas and Louisiana Tech have not faced each other since 2012. In that matchup, Megan Herbert led Central Arkansas with 24 points and 13 rebounds.

Louisiana Tech enters the game with a 5-4 record after playing No. 5 LSU in its most recent outing. The Lady Techsters became the first team this season to hold LSU under 90 points and held a lead after the first quarter. Paris Bradley led Louisiana Tech with 19 points on just 11 shots, making four three-pointers. Jianna Morris scored 11 points and Jordan Marshall added 10.

Jordan Marshall leads Louisiana Tech in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 14.1 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. She has recorded double-digit points in seven games this season and double-digit rebounds in three games, including season highs of 20 points and 18 rebounds.

The upcoming game will be streamed live on ESPN+, with additional coverage available through live stats online and radio broadcast on 91.3 The Bear by Steve Owens.
