The Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office recognized National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week on April 13 by providing a breakfast to local telecommunicators, with food donated by McDonald’s at 705 Salem Road in Conway, Arkansas. The office said the event was held to honor and appreciate the work of these public safety professionals.
National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is an annual event that acknowledges the essential role of dispatchers and communication staff in emergency response. Recognizing their contributions helps highlight the importance of effective communication in maintaining community safety.
“We wish to express our appreciation to McDonald’s for helping us to recognize these heroes!” said representatives from the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office. The department noted that community support plays a key role in acknowledging first responders’ efforts.
Tim Ryals, sheriff of the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office, has experience in narcotics investigation, aviation, highway patrol, drug interdiction, K-9 units and SWAT teams, according to the official website. The department manages detention facilities with capacity for 424 adult detainees and 16 juveniles.
