The ASUN announced its All-ASUN superlatives and teams on May 18, with four Central Arkansas Bears baseball players receiving recognition. Zeb Allen, Hunter Alexander, and Denver Hamilton were named to the First Team All-ASUN, while Mark Ross was selected for the ASUN All-Freshman Team.

These honors come after a strong season for the Bears, who won 30 games—their highest total since 2019—and finished third in the ASUN Gold Division. The team’s overall record was the best in their division.

Zeb Allen, a junior from Fort Smith, Arkansas, set both career and single-season home run records at Central Arkansas. He also earned ASUN Player of the Week and National Team of the Week by Baseball America. Allen batted .316 with a 1.036 OPS, hit 17 home runs, drove in 52 runs, and stole 20 bases this season.

Hunter Alexander, a senior from Bigelow, Arkansas, excelled as a relief pitcher. He set the program’s career saves record and tied its single-season saves mark. Alexander was named ASUN Pitcher of the Week and became a semifinalist for National Pitcher of the Year while making 26 appearances with an ERA of 2.58.

Denver Hamilton started on the mound in twelve games as a junior from Red Oak, Oklahoma. He posted an undefeated record (8-0) with one complete game over seventy-two innings pitched and received ASUN Pitcher of the Week honors during the season.

Mark Ross contributed as a redshirt freshman from Springfield, Missouri by playing in forty-six games with forty-four starts. He batted .243 with four home runs while maintaining solid fielding statistics throughout his first year.

Head Coach Nick Harlan said about these achievements: “I’m happy to see our guys get honored for the body of work they put together this season. The best players possess character, talent, skill and the maturity to bring them to competition everyday regardless of how they feel. This group did that from day one. I’m not only proud but thankful for the opportunity to coach them.”

The Bears are scheduled to begin play in the ASUN Championship Tournament against Stetson on Tuesday May 19 at DeLand.
