Heritage Living Center was the largest nursing facility in Faulkner County in the first quarter of 2026, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) reported.

The data reveals Heritage Living Center offered 140 beds, which is 30 above the county’s average during the same period. The facility served an average of 127.9 residents throughout the quarter.

The nursing home received a 4 out of 5 overall rating from the CMS, surpassing Arkansas’ state average of 3.4 for nursing homes.

Superior Health & Rehab, LLC held the second spot among largest facilities in Faulkner County with 118 beds, while Conway Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center was third, providing 105 beds.

Heritage Living Center did not receive any fines or penalties in the first quarter of 2026.

There were a total of six for-profit nursing homes operating in Faulkner County, Arkansas.

U.S. Census Bureau estimates show the country’s older adult population is rising, while numbers for younger age groups decline. Americans age 65 and older increased by 13% between 2020 and 2024, whereas those under 18 decreased by 1.7%. The senior population has expanded dramatically since 1920, from 4.9 million to more than 61 million by 2024.

A 2021 study found that about half of Americans in this age category—nearly 28 million—may eventually need long-term services and support. The study also anticipates that over a third could require nursing home care as they age.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, an insurance education group. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
