WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. French Hill (AR-02) on June 22, released the following statement after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a joint address to Congress:

“We are blessed to have a strong Indian community in central Arkansas that works hard to exemplify cultural ties between the United States and India throughout our communities and in our local businesses. I was delighted to have my friend and Little Rock civic and business leader, Rajesh Chokhani, as my guest at on June 22,  joint Congressional address.

“During his address, Prime Minister Modi demonstrated his understanding of how important the relationship between our two nations is and how we must continue to build upon our economic partnership, shared values, and national security needs to expand democracy around the world. Prime Minister Modi is a key ally of the United States and I thank him for his leadership in strengthening the relationship between our two nations.”
