WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. French Hill (AR-02) on May 16 released the following statement in response to Special Counsel John Durham’s report:

“This long-awaited report confirms shocking and unlawful misconduct by the FBI and DOJ under the Obama Administration in their attempt to connect President Trump’s 2016 campaign to the Russian government.

“Weaponization of our federal government in any form is a threat to our national security – largely because it is one step closer to the American people losing faith in our critical institutions and it makes it harder to maintain vital intelligence tools that keep Americans safe both at home and abroad. Congress must create clear rules for preventing future abuses and restore trust back to our institutions.”
