Cost of college went up for all students at the University of Arkansas Community College-Morrilton

In-state tuition and fees rose 2.2 percent for 2018-19 at the University of Arkansas Community College-Morrilton, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Arkansas residents paid $3,380 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $72 more than the $3,308 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 20.6 percent more than residents this year, or $4,076. Their price tag grew 1.8 percent from $4,004 in 2017-18.

About 99 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Arkansas residents. And about 1 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 92 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 366 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.7 million and 72 students took out student loans totaling more than $305,834.

Including all undergraduates (1,902), 1,461 students used grants or scholarships totaling $5.9 million, and 432 students took out $2.1 million in federal student loans.
