CONWAY HIGH SCHOOL: Class Reading for Character Analysis

Classroom

Conway High School issued the following announcement on Sept. 29.

10th grade students in English classes are analyzing a text by closely reading "The Yellow Wallpaper" for characterization.

For the representation of their analysis, students draw the narrator of the story and label her head and face according to her intellect, memories, communication, and philosophy. Next, they label the torso and arms according to the narrator's work, emotion, and instincts. Finally, students label the legs and feet with the narrator's playful side, mobility, and future.

Students use textual evidence to support their analysis.
