Arkansas Department of Commerce - Conway Local Office issued the following announcement on April 26.
Our team presented this morning at the MAKO Chamber Conference on its efforts to diversify its staff, board and programming over the last several years and the impact it has had on our organization.
The decision has transformed our culture and strengthened our ability to serve as a community partner and leader. Moving forward, chambers of commerce must be intentional about diversity and inclusion. Doing so will make our communities stronger, more vibrant and inclusive.
There is still work to be done, and we know each step will improve our ability to serve our city and continue to position Conway for a bright future.
