St. Joseph Church – Conway issued the following announcement on June 5.
The St. Joseph Community would like to thank all who devoted
many years of service to this vital Eucharistic Ministry to the
sick and homebound. Your Communion visits blessed hun-
dreds of parishioners at a time when they were most in need
of the Body and Blood of Jesus to feed and sustain them spirit-
ually and physically. Because Conway Regional Medical Center
has recently given us permission to resume making daily visits,
we are actively recruiting new Eucharistic Ministers to offer
Communion to the Catholic patients. As you know each new
minister will require a pyx and a prayer booklet. Those of you
who have retired from the ministry may still have one or more
of these items which you received from the Church when you
began your ministry. If so, would you please consider returning
them to the office so that they can be passed on to others who
are now taking your place. We greatly appreciate your prior
service and also your cooperation in continuing this ministry to
those in need.
