UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL ARKANSAS: Jeromy Hunt recognized at Board of Trustees meeting

University of Central Arkansas issued the following announcement on June 2.

Jeromy Hunt, a junior public relations major, was recognized at the May University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees meeting as a Bear CLAWS recipient.

CLAWS is Celebrating the Lofty Achievements of our Wonderful Students. The university began designating students as CLAWS honorees in 2017 to present high-achieving individual students or student groups at board meetings. To date, nearly 40 students or student groups have been recognized through the CLAWS program.

Hunt, a native of Eudora, Arkansas, is a member of the Students for the Propagation of Black Culture and the Latino Student Association. He is an avid campus volunteer for activities such as Amigo Fest and Family Day. He is a mentor with UCA’s BMAC, Project X and the Minority Mentorship Program. He is the former chaplain and is now the treasurer for the UCA Gospel Choir. Through the Office of Diversity and Community, he was named Outstanding Executive Board Member for his service to the UCA Gospel Choir and Outstanding Mentor in the Minority Mentorship Program. He was a member of IDEAL his freshman year and began serving as an alumni leader last fall. He works in Housing and Residence Life hosting tours of UCA housing facilities for Bear Facts Days, Admitted Student Open House and other times. He currently serves as president of the UCA Bear Den. This fall, he joins the Association of Future Alumni through the Office of Alumni Relations.
