Today marks the start of a mural project several years in the making - one that was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A partnership between the City of Morrilton, Main Street Morrilton, and building owner Mike Miller has kicked off with prep work on the Adams Office Center building at 116 N. Moose Street in downtown Morrilton.
Muralist Art by Jessica Jones of Greenbrier has been commissioned to design and paint our first downtown mural. The final design will be revealed in time and brings together both nature and musical elements with estimated completion in about a month, depending on weather.
The mural will eventually be the backdrop for Wayland Holyfield Place, a multi-use outdoor space at the corner of Moose and Commerce streets. Find out more at www.mainstreetmorrilton.org/hplace.
