Greg Hunt | ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE - CONWAY LOCAL OFFICE
In 2008, Greg Hunt launched Century 21 Sandstone Real Estate Group with his business partner, Korry Garrett. It was the first African-American-owned, full-service real estate firm in Conway. The company was the culmination of Hunt’s professional aspirations as well as his personal desire to educate, train, and assist those in his community with achieving the American dream of home ownership.
Always a dedicated leader, Hunt was recognized for his commitment to his work and his team, earning accolades such as Arkansas Business’ 40 Under 40, Minority Business of the Year, and was the first African-American to become a multi-million dollar producer in Faulkner County real estate. He served in leadership roles such as the President of the Faulkner County Board of Realtors and Vice Chairman of the Arkansas Minority Business Advisory Council among many others.
Hunt helped shape a team of professionals who were socially connected and motivated to reach a diverse group of people. Starting with a team of four, Sandstone Real Estate Group, now known as Century 21 Sandstone Real Estate Group, is now home to 24 agents whose sales have continued to double or triple, year after year.
At just 38 years of age, Greg Hunt lost his battle with cancer. His work paved the way for many and his legacy of hard work and community service lives on with his work in real estate reflected in all the patrons he served throughout his life.
Greg Hunt is one of this year's recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award and will be recognized posthumously at our Northwestern Mutual-Gainor District Office Diversity in Business Awards, presented by Conway Corporation, Conway Regional Health System and Ensono.
