Electric Distribution System Manager Henry Mason is retiring December 2022 after dedicating more than 42 years of service to Conway Corp and the Conway community.

Henry was hired as a senior lineman in August 1980 and promoted to foreman in 2015. He was promoted to manager in 2021 and has spent more than four decades helping provide safe, reliable electricity to the Conway community.

To his colleagues and crew, Henry is known for his calm composure and quiet confidence. He led his department through extraordinary challenges, never letting a pandemic or unprecedented winter weather interfere with his dedication to providing critical, essential services to the community.

Henry was also instrumental in helping our friends and neighbors across the state and country in mutual aid efforts from the Light Up Navajo project in Colorado, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico to numerous hurricane restoration efforts in Florida and storm restoration closer to home in public power cities across Arkansas.

Under Henry’s leadership, Conway residents enjoyed power reliability at 99.99 percent.

“We have had a line of great electric managers who have kept the lights on for Conway,” Chief Operating Officer Greg Dell said. “Henry has unquestionably done his part to build on that achievement and serve the community.”

Henry was the first African American manager at Conway Corp and was recently honored with the Diversity in Business Awards Lifetime Achievement Award from the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce.

Congrats, Henry!
