Turbare Manufacturing, a pharmaceutical manufacturer, announced plans for a new Conway facility to produce drugs on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s shortage list.
It plans to invest $11 million between the purchase of the property, modernization of the facility and new equipment. Laura Martin, CEO and founder, said the 44,000-square-foot facility would house state-of-the-art, automated equipment that will allow it to produce high-quality products.
Turbare currently has five employees and plans to hire 50 positions in late spring and early summer, and have 100 jobs by the end of the year. The average salary is expected to be $50,000.
