We would like to congratulate Klayton Soffos on placing 1st in the Northwest District’s Prepared Public Speaking Event on Monday and qualifying to go to our State Convention in April. This is a huge accomplishment! Along with Klayton, we had 14 students from the high school and junior high that competed in the District Contest.
Monday we also prepared floral arrangements for our Valentine’s Day sale. We would like to give a huge shoutout to Mrs. Laci Booth, a local florist, for coming out to teach our students about floral design, flower selection, and proper handling techniques. We love when our kids get hands-on experiences and get to work with our community.
Wednesday, we took 50 students from the junior high and high school to compete in our first Career Development Event competition of the year. These competitions are based after agricultural jobs/subjects that the students learn about in class. We would like to congratulate our horse evaluations team for placing 2nd out of 53 teams! We are excited to see how our teams do in all of their competitions this year.
