WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. French Hill (AR-02) on May 18 released the following statement after House Republicans passed multiple pieces of legislation during National Police Week to show their support for our law enforcement officers.
“Every day, our law enforcement officers work tirelessly to keep us safe, whether that be responding to criminal activity, acting as first responders, or supporting healthy living amongst our youth. In honor of National Police Week, I was proud to support multiple pieces of legislation which express support for our law enforcement officers.
"For over two years, the radical rhetoric of defunding our police from Democrats has been ingrained across our nation. Now more than ever, it is critical that we show our support for police nationwide. I will always be a proud supporter of our brave men and women who take the oath to selflessly serve and protect us and will always back the blue.”
Further Background:
