After a notable season, Trace Pavatt of the Central Arkansas Bears women’s soccer team has been named to the Third Team All-ASUN, as announced by the conference.
Head coach Derek Nichols commented on Pavatt’s performance: “Trace had another really good year for us this year leading us in goals and points, and tied for the lead in assists, which were all among the top in the league. She is a player that has the ability to stretch defenses with her pace and ability to run with the ball making her a threat against any opponent, and very deserving of this award.”
Pavatt led her team with 17 points, including six goals and five assists. These statistics placed her among the leaders in both categories within the ASUN conference. She ranked eighth in goals and ninth in assists among all players in the league. Pavatt was also one of only five players in the ASUN to record at least six goals and five assists during the season.
During conference play, Pavatt shifted her focus more toward creating opportunities for teammates as opponents increased their defensive attention on her. She led Central Arkansas with four assists during league matches and finished just one assist behind those who led this category. In addition to her assists, she scored two goals during ASUN competition.
This recognition marks Pavatt’s second appearance on an All-ASUN team; she was previously selected for the Second Team in 2023. Her achievement continues Central Arkansas’s trend of earning postseason honors since joining the ASUN Conference, with Bears players recognized in four out of five seasons.
