Valeria Ramirez has been named the ASUN Women’s Golfer of the Week, following her performance at The Judson tournament held at Hattiesburg Country Club in Mississippi on October 27 and 28. Representing the Central Arkansas Bears, Ramirez finished third individually with a score of four under par. She led all golfers in average score on par 4 holes and recorded ten birdies during the event.

The Central Arkansas Bears secured third place overall with a team score of two over par. Other ASUN programs participating included West Georgia, North Alabama, and Austin Peay.

Head Coach Summar Roachell commented on Ramirez’s achievement: “I am very proud of Valeria and her performance this week. From start to finish she was in complete control. She has battled all season and this week all the intentional work came together. I know this performance will keep her motivated into the off season and show her that all the work she has been putting in is worth it!”

The Judson marked the final event for the Bears this fall season. The team is scheduled to compete in six tournaments during the spring, concluding with the ASUN Championship in Dothan, Alabama from April 17 to 19.
